Your Perfect Day...... Bridal Wear, Suits and Kilts
You may choose a dress to complement the style of the wedding, for example a traditional church service and wedding breakfast may lend itself to a traditional white or ivory gown in silk and lace, perhaps with a contemporary twist. Wedding dresses can also be bought off the peg or hired which can be cost effective and less time consuming, although time for alterations should still be taken into account.
Bridesmaid dresses should be considered after a decision has been made on the bridal gown as you may want colours or accessories to co-ordinate. Again, with dresses made to order there are time constraints to think about.
It is usual for the bridegroom and his party to hire suits and accessories for the wedding day, and you may choose to have a central, matching theme. For example waistcoats or ties can be co-ordinated, or perhaps you may opt to wear the same suits. The groom’s party tends to involve the ushers, best man and father of the groom, although pageboys and the bride’s father may also be included.
